This is the base engine for a complete assembly I built to represent a mid 60’s to early ’70s factory big block. Kit comes with a one piece engine block, timing cover, water pump, both cylinder heads, starter, fuel pump, an oil pan. This means you will need to supply your own parts to build a complete engine, aka intake, carburetor, air cleaner, an front accessory.
Kit contains a newly crafted “427” Chevy big block with more detail than you could ask for like: front an rear engine detail, stock style timing cover with bolt head, timing tab detail, and a molded in balancer set to top dead center. It has a short style water pump cut to clearance the cover, alternator mounting tabs an the water connector boss for your hoses. The cylinder heads in this kit where nearly scratch built by the time they where crafted. The heads are modeled using actual head photos from the mid to late 60’s. The kit cylinder head has different details on either end, pipe plugs in one end, and another on the face (believe for water temp). There is thick detail on the face to give it the depth unlike any out of the box big block head. Best yet the spark plug holes where cast deep, so you might not even need a drill. I make the oil pan from a couple different box cast pans to resemble oil pans from that time period.
