1/24 resin Moroso Valve Covers

These Moroso BBC valve covers are box recast from a Monogram 1/24 Pro Street Firebird kit as they are a rather highly detailed part on their own. Before creating the mold, the chrome was stripped and the yellow residue was removed, making the casting of these parts incredibly clean. The 1/25 version was made by adding thinner to the silicone when pouring the mold of the 1/24 scale part, when the thinner evaporated the mold shrunk giving forming a smaller scale part. The 1/24 scale was cast using a two-piece mold and features a hollow bottom that doesn’t require any further sanding. The smaller scale does not currently have this and will be solid, but it does have a nice flat surface.

The original breather elements that came in the kit lacked detail, the included breathers are 3D designed from references of a stock breather and then resin cast from the printed master parts.
