1/25 resin Hemi Cylinder Heads

This cylinder head was originally from the 71 charger AMT kit, and the original features, such as the inner rocker portion, were already rather good. They weren’t long enough to fit valve covers from other model kits, therefore they had to be skillfully lengthened at the end to look right. The ends were chopped off and plastic was added to function as spacers when the ends were glued back in place. After the head had been extended, the spacers were sanded and trimmed to match before the mold was made from the master. The end detail was improved by utilizing 1:1 picture references; each end is different, much like the real heads themselves.

Because it was cast using a two-piece mold, there is a detail on the bottom for a clean casting and no additional sanding is necessary.
